Qimarox
has made the installation of vertical conveyors faster, easier and cheaper.
Thanks to the modular design of the Prorunner mk1 and mk5 it is possible to
transport the machine in parts and to assemble it on location. This
leads to lower transport costs and prevents all kinds of measures being
necessary in order to place fully assembled product elevators in the correct
place on location. System integrators can optionally take care of
assembly themselves.
A
fully assembled product elevator takes up a lot more space than all its loose
parts together. This means that delivery in parts entails much lower transport
costs than the transport of a fully assembled machine.
This
also means that less space is needed on site to install the machine in the
right place. All parts fit through any door and no heavy equipment for
unloading and erecting the machine is needed.
Shorter
delivery time
An
additional advantage of delivery in parts is the shorter delivery time, since
the product elevator doesn’t need to be assembled prior to transport. Because
assembly is simple thanks to the modular design of the machine it can be done
on the spot by the system integrator himself. It is therefore not necessary to
call in the help of Qimarox service engineers.
Qimarox
of course still offers the possibility of having the product elevators
delivered fully assembled. This might be particularly useful if you have
limited time for installation of the machine. In such cases the assembly, but
also the testing of the product elevator, will already have been done
beforehand.
Less
setting and adjustment required
The
product elevators of Qimarox can be distinguished from other vertical transport
systems through their quick and easy installation. Take, for example, the
Prorunner mk5, the patented product elevator that works on the paternoster
principle. Due to the unique way in which products are picked up or deposited,
it is unlike, say, a spiral conveyor, where it is necessary to synchronise the
speed of the elevator with the speed of the infeed and outfeed conveyors. The
Prorunner mk5 also doesn’t need frequency controllers that need to be
accurately adjusted.
It
is also no longer necessary to check the oil level as this is taken care of by
Qimarox before shipment. Upon delivery of a fully assembled elevator, the chain
tension has also already been checked by Qimarox, which makes installation time
even shorter. If the elevator should start up in the wrong direction, don’t
worry, this won’t cause any damage problems. The direction of movement can be
easily adjusted.
Low
maintenance and energy efficient
The
Prorunner mk5 is also extremely maintenance friendly during use. Thanks to the
patented drive system the chain doesn’t need to be shortened already after 200
hours, unlike other vertical transport systems.
If
a fork is damaged, it can be easily removed and replaced. If no spare fork is
available the elevator can also continue working with one less fork. You do not
have to worry about the Prorunner mk5 coming to a standstill, and thus also
your production line.
The
delivery time for forks and other components is short. Because Qimarox machines
are modularly designed, the elevator consists entirely of standard components
that are largely available from stock.
The
Prorunner mk5 also uses less energy than other vertical transport systems.
Because the ascending and descending forks keep each other in balance the
elevator only needs to provide energy to lift the products. This means that a
drive mechanism of 0.37 to 0.55 kilowatt is usually quite sufficient.
Flexible
in use
Finally,
the Prorunner mk5 is very flexible in use. Due to its compact design – no other
vertical transport system needs so little space – this machine can easily be
used in other locations. The Prorunner mk5 doesn’t need to be readjusted if
your products change in size, shape or weight. Finally, it is easy to increase
the capacity of the Prorunner mk5. All you need to do is add a few product
carriers.
About Qimarox
Qimarox
is a leading manufacturer of components for material handling systems that are
characterised by robustness and reliability. Innovative
concepts, patented technologies, and continuous development allow Qimarox
(which emerged from Nedpack) to manufacture product elevators and palletisers
that link flexibility and productivity to a low total cost of ownership. System
integrators and original equipment manufacturers from across the globe use the
machinery of Qimarox in end-of-line systems and storage and order picking
systems in various industries. Please visit www.qimarox.com
