Qimarox shortens delivery time to two weeks


A top-quality product elevator that is ready for delivery in two weeks. That is the promise that Qimarox makes with its new Fast Lane Service. System integrators from around the world now have access to reliable, durable and affordable material handling components faster than ever before. And all at the same low prices.


An increasing amount of time in projects, in production and logistics, is devoted to preparation. System integrators spend a lot of time consulting with customers about the exact design of, for example, a final packaging line or order picking system. And once the design has been established, there is often little time left for implementation.

Qimarox is catering for this with the introduction of its Fast Lane Service. Thanks to this unique service, system integrators in urgent need of a product lift can have a Prorunner mk1 vertical conveyor at their disposal in two weeks. This ultra-short delivery time makes the product elevator an even more attractive alternative to other vertical conveyor systems. As soon as the order is received, Qimarox technicians start assembling the Prorunner mk1.

No extra costs
The Qimarox Fast Lane Service is possible thanks to the modular design of the Prorunner series. By using standardised, interchangeable components, most parts are in stock. Production then takes no more than two weeks. Then the product elevator in Harderwijk is ready for transport to the final destination.

System integrators do not have to pay extra for the Fast Lane Service. The most important condition is that the stopwatch only starts once the invoice amount has been transferred. In addition, the service only applies to orders with up to four standard product elevators. If system integrators choose a modified design, production will take more time and the order will be added to the standard production planning.

Reduction of lead times
Qimarox Fast Lane Service is particularly suitable for system integrators on the Asian or American continent, who often have to deal with long transport times. With a production time of up to two weeks, these system integrators save valuable time. By assembling the product yourself, the transport volume can be reduced to a relatively small building kit. This even makes it possible to transport product lifts as air freight. The result: an even further reduction of lead times.

The Fast Lane Service is being launched with the Prorunner mk1, the standard product elevator that is now in use in hundreds of sites around the world. If this service is successful, Qimarox will also develop Fast Lane options for the Prorunner mk5, mk9, mk10 and other components. The ultimate goal: ultra-short delivery times for all material handling components, including Qimarox’s palletisers.

Qimarox simplifies integration with PackML guidelines


Qimarox adopts the PackML guidelines for the integration of machines into production and packaging lines. This means that the components of Qimarox are now even easier to integrate, operate and maintain. With PackML, the manufacturer of palletising modules and vertical conveyors, among other things, is responding to an increasing demand from the market. Almost all major consumer product manufacturers – including Nestlé, Procter & Gamble and PepsiCo – set PackML as a prerequisite for new production and packaging lines.



‘PackML’ stands for Packaging Machine Language, a guideline drawn up by the Organization for Machine Automation and Control (OMAC). This organisation is supported by large, globally operating manufacturers of consumer products  such as Nestlé, Procter & Gamble and PepsiCo. In collaboration with system integrators, machine builders and technology suppliers, they want to create open standards for the vertical and horizontal integration of machines. ‘Horizontal integration’ refers to the interaction between the machines themselves (machine-to-machine communication), and ‘vertical integration’ to linking this with central control systems.

Qimarox’s alignment with PackML means that its palletisers, vertical conveyors and other machines are now even easier to integrate, operate and maintain. Manufacturers of consumer products using PackML as a guideline succeed in bringing new production and/or packaging lines into use three to four months earlier. They are seeing the total cost of ownership (TCO) of their systems fall significantly, while the overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) increases. System integrators and machine builders who incorporate Qimarox modules into their solutions also benefit from the simplified integration and acceleration of test procedures.

Conditions for innovation
Standardisation in the realisation of production and packaging lines is desperately needed. Standards allow manufacturers to shift gears quickly and adapt their production processes to the rapid changes in the market. OMAC is currently preparing to enable concepts such as plug-and-play and plug-and-produce in due course. ‘PackML increases the possibilities for innovation. If manufacturers want to update a system, they don’t need to modify the control system of an entire packaging line. They only need to concentrate on the parts that need to be updated,’ says Uwe Keiter, chairman of the OMAC Packaging Workgroup.

In order to take full advantage of new technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT) or artificial intelligence (AI), standards are also indispensable. ‘Today, we can store and analyse data from different machines in the cloud. However, this is only really useful if we record the data identically, so that we can for example compare the performance of machines and calculate the OEE unequivocally. PackML makes that possible,’ says Keiter, who in his everyday life works as Business Development Director / Consumer Goods for technology provider Lenze.

Agreements in three areas
PackML comprises agreements in three areas. The first area concerns the status of the machine. If the status is ‘idle’, then it is ready to produce. With a start button, the operator can then actually start the machine, after which the status will change to ‘execute’. If there is a fault, the status will switch to ‘held’. Thanks to the uniform set of agreements, operators can operate a new machine without any training and service engineers can quickly find out which part of the production or packaging line has the problem.

The second area concerns the mode of operation of the machine. Is it set to ‘automatic’, ‘manual’ or ‘maintenance’? Thirdly and lastly, agreements have been made about the way in which data is exchanged between the machines themselves and with the overlying control system. This could include, for example, the speed of the machine: will it be specified in metres per second or in units per hour? It has also been established that each machine will only exchange data with the machines immediately before and after it in the line. ‘If machine B has a fault and the status jumps to ‘held’, this is only passed on to machine A and C, but not to machine D. Machines A and C can respond to this by reducing their speed, which means that the status will change to ‘suspended’. Machine C in turn passes this status on to machine D’, explains Keiter.

PackML as a prerequisite
PackML offers advantages not only for end users and system integrators, but also for Qimarox and other machine builders. The OMAC guidelines make it easier to also design the control system of machines in a modular way. When upgrading, they only need to modify the module, not the complete machine. This reduces the time needed for testing and troubleshooting. In a factory acceptance test, there is no longer any need to test the communication with other machines, which can result in time savings of 60%. There is also no need to keep reinventing the wheel when programming the machine: 80% of the software can be reused.

By adhering to PackML, Qimarox is responding to market demand. ‘More and more manufacturers of consumer products are including PackML as a precondition in their request for a quotation. By meeting PackML’s specifications as standard, we make it easier for our own customers – system integrators and machine builders – to meet these requirements,’ says Jaco Hooijer, Operations Manager at Qimarox. ‘In addition, we recognise the importance of standardisation in the industry. By becoming a member of OMAC we want to contribute to the further spread and adoption of PackML’.

Everyone benefits
OMAC is happy with the registration of Qimarox. More and more machine builders are adopting PackML, according to Keiter. ‘We can buy machines anywhere and link them together to form a production or packaging line. However, most machines’ software is not consistent, simply because it was created by different programmers. This makes it difficult to connect these machines to, for example, a MES (Manufacturing Execution System). It also means that operators and service engineers have to be re-trained for each machine. Everyone in the industry benefits from guidelines like PackML, both users and suppliers of production resources’.

Qimarox stellt verbesserten Standard-OEM-Stretchwickler vor

Nachdem Qimarox im vergangenen Jahr einen Standard-OEM-Stretchwickler in sein Produktangebot aufnahm, kann der Hersteller von Materialverarbeitungskomponenten nunmehr mit einer verbesserten Version dieser Maschine aufwarten. Neu an diesem Stretchwickler ist das patentierte Konzert, bei dem die Spannarme, welche die Produkte mit den Hüllen überziehen, unabhängig voneinander arbeiten und auf einzelnen Führungspfählen montiert sind. Der neue OEM-Stretchwickler wird auf der Fachmesse Interpack vorgestellt, die vom 4. bis zum 10. Mai in Düsseldorf stattfindet.

Da das Rahmenwerk fehlt, in dem die Spannarme bisher miteinander verbunden waren, lässt sich die Ausführung des Standard-Stretchwicklers flexibler gestalten. Die jeweiligen Projektanforderungen legen die Position der Führungspfähle fest. Der Stretchwickler passt sich somit den Projekt Gegebenheiten an und nicht umgekehrt. So können Paletten nunmehr aus zwei Richtungen verarbeitet werden, was eine Eckaufstellung ermöglicht. Dabei ist das Konzept komplett standardisiert und die Maschine besteht ausschließlich aus Modulen. Dies ermöglicht einen Einsatz des Stretchwicklers in einer Vielzahl von Projekten.

Stromkosten sparen
Der äußerst kompakte Stretchwickler umfasst vier Spannarme, die eine Schrumpfhaube maximal dehnen und über die beladene Palette ziehen können. Wenn die Spannarme die Schrumpfhaube loslassen, können sich die Kartons, Säcke oder sonstigen Produkte auf der Palette dank der elastischen Eigenschaften der Folie nicht mehr bewegen. Weil sich die vier Spannarme horizontal in zwei Richtungen bewegen können, kann der Stretchwickler jedes Palettenformat mit einer Schrumpfhaube überziehen.

Was die Maschine einmalig macht, ist der Verzicht auf Energie vergeudende Techniken wie Pneumatik und Hydraulik als Antrieb der Spannarme. Dadurch bleibt der Energieverbrauch auf ein Mindestmaß beschränkt, was für Endkunden jährliche Einsparungen von bis zu 3500 € an Stromkosten mit sich bringt. Außerdem zeichnet sich diese Maschine durch eine hohe Wartungsfreundlichkeit aus. Eine Inspektion der Maschine oder der Austausch von Verschleißteilen – all das kann auch Bodenniveau stattfinden, wodurch bewegliche Maschinenteile zu Service- und Wartungszwecken überflüssig sind.

Lieferung über Systempartner
Qimarox liefert den Stretchwickler wie alle anderen Komponenten (z. B. Palettiermaschinen und Vertikalförderer) ohne Steuerung an spezialisierte und geschulte Certified System Partners. Das bietet diesen Partnern die Gelegenheit, die Steuerung der Maschine mit der Steuerung der anderen Komponenten von Endverpackungssystemen zu kombinieren. Das Ergebnis ist nicht nur eine bessere Integration, sondern auch eine einfachere Steuerung sowie geringere Investitions- und Wartungskosten. Qimarox verfügt inzwischen über ein weltweites Netzwerk von mehr als 200 Systempartnern, so dass jeder Endkunde in jedem Fall mit einem lokalen Partner rechnen kann, der die eigene Sprache spricht und den Markt kennt.

Qimarox présente une banderoleuse à anneau rotatif OEM standard, haute capacité

Facile à utiliser et à entretenir, faible prix

Qimarox a lancé une banderoleuse rapide et fiable. Tout comme les modules de palettisation Qimarox, elle est vendue exclusivement en OEM et aux intégrateurs système. Cette banderoleuse polyvalente peut filmer en toute fiabilité jusqu'à 100 palettes à l'heure (option étanchéité à la poussière et à l'eau). Comme cette banderoleuse à anneau rotatif peut facilement être intégrée avec les modules de palettisation de Qimarox, cela fait encore baisser les coûts d'intégration et de matériel du système d'emballage en bout de ligne.



Le Highrunner mk7 de Qimarox connaît actuellement un franc succès. Le Highrunner mk7 est un palettiseur modulaire produit en série souvent utilisé en association avec une banderoleuse. En étendant la gamme de produits avec une banderoleuse à anneau rotatif standard, cela réduit encore un peu plus les coûts d'intégration et de matériel. En fin de compte, de la même façon que les modules de palettisation et les autres composants, la banderoleuse OEM à anneau rotatif de Qimarox est fournie sans système de commande. Cela permet aux intégrateurs systèmes de combiner le système de commande du palettiseur et de la banderoleuse (et de tout autre composant du système) en une seule unité de commande.

Qimarox se distingue des autres fabricants de matériel de manutention qui livrent de façon générale leurs composants avec une armoire de commande. Le résultat est que chaque composant d’une ligne d'emballage de ces autres fournisseurs possède son armoire de commande tout à fait inutile puisqu'une seule unité de commande suffit largement pour l'ensemble du système. Qimarox permet aux intégrateurs de simplifier un peu plus le contrôle et l'intégration de ces différents composants.

Conception modulaire
Comme les systèmes de transports verticaux et les palettiseurs de Qimarox, cette machine se distingue par sa haute capacité, sa haute qualité et sa conception modulaire.

La banderoleuse OEM à anneau rotatif est construite en acier et s'appuie sur quatre colonnes. C'est pourquoi elle est plus solide et plus stable que les banderoleuses à plateau tournant ou à bras rotatif. Cela lui permet aussi d'atteindre une vitesse de 100 palettes à l'heure. La banderoleuse OEM à anneau rotatif est livrée avec un système spécial de pré-étirage du film qui permet de l'étirer jusqu'à 300 %. En partie parce que la feuille est appliquée à tension constante et groupée, il suffit de relativement peu de film pour stabiliser le chargement. Comme c'est le film qui tourne plutôt que la palette, même les palettes les plus instables ou empilées peuvent être facilement enveloppées.

Des palettes parfaitement enveloppées
La banderoleuse OEM à anneau rotatif peut commencer et s'arrêter à n'importe quelle hauteur ce qui fait que même les palettes empilées peuvent être filmées séparément. Le système spécial de soudage du film et de coupe réalise une double soudure à température et temps de soudage contrôlés qui permet d'obtenir des palettes parfaitement emballées sans qu’aucun pan de film ne dépasse. Cela signifie que ces palettes ne poseront aucun problème avec les systèmes de manutention automatisés. La banderoleuse OEM à anneau rotatif propose également une option pour appliquer automatiquement une feuille de plastique de couverture qui met le chargement à l'abri de la poussière et même de l'eau avec un programme de filmage approprié.

Grâce à sa conception exclusive, la banderoleuse OEM à anneau rotatif est très facile à mettre en œuvre et à entretenir, et, son prix reste modeste. En option, un système automatique réalise l'échange des rouleaux de film ce qui réduit le temps d'indisponibilité de la machine. La conception modulaire utilise autant de composants standard que possible ce qui facilite la maintenance et l'approvisionnement des pièces. C'est parce que la banderoleuse OEM à anneau rotatif est une machine standardisée produite en série que les coûts de production et donc le prix de vente restent modestes en comparaison des banderoleuses similaires.

Rapide à installer, facile à intégrer
Qimarox fournit la banderoleuse OEM à anneau rotatif exclusivement aux intégrateurs systèmes et aux fabricants OEM. La machine est livrée totalement câblée avec ses capteurs, ses moteurs et son logiciel de commande, ainsi le temps d'installation reste minimal et l'intégration avec le reste du système (palettiseur, robot palettiseur et/ou convoyeurs) est simplifiée. Qimarox introduces standard, high capacity OEM Ringwrapper


Easy to use and maintain, low in price

Qimarox has released a fast and reliable stretch wrapper, which, like its palletising modules, are sold exclusively to OEMs and system integrators. This versatile ring wrapper can reliably wrap up to 100 pallets in foil per hour (optionally dustproof and waterproof). Because the OEM Ringwrapper can be easily integrated in combination with the palletising modules of Qimarox, the integration and hardware costs of final packaging lines are even further reduced.



Qimarox’s Highrunner mk7 is selling well at the moment. The Highrunner mk7 is a modular, serially produced palletiser, which is often used in conjunction with a shrink wrapper. Expanding the product range with a standard ring wrapper will reduce integration and hardware costs even further. After all, similar to its palletising modules and other components, Qimarox’s OEM Ringwrapper is supplied without a control system. This allows system integrators to combine the control system of both the palletiser and the ring wrapper (and any other system components) in a single control unit.

Qimarox distinguishes itself from other material handling manufacturers who deliver their components with control cabinet as standard. The result of this is that each component of a packaging line from these other suppliers has its own completely unnecessary control unit, while a single control box for the entire system would in principle suffice. The Qimarox components furthermore allow system integrators to simplify the control and integration of the various components. 

Modular design
Like the vertical transport systems and palletisers of Qimarox, this machine distinguishes itself through its high capacity, high quality and modular design.

The OEM Ringwrapper is a ring wrapper with a steel construction resting on four columns. The result is a shrink wrapper which is more stable and robust than turntable or rotary arm wrappers, which is therefore able to reach higher speeds of up to 100 pallets per hour. The OEM Ringwrapper is provided with a special pre-stretch system, which can stretch the film by 300%. Partly because the foil is applied under constant tension and batched, relatively little film is needed for stabilisation of the load. Because the film rotates, rather than the pallet, even the most unstable of stacked pallets can also be easily wrapped in foil.

Perfectly wrapped pallets
The OEM Ringwrapper can start and stop wrapping at any height, so that stacked pallets can also be stabilised separately, for example. The special film welding and cutting system applies a double welded seam at a controlled temperature and welding time, which makes for perfectly wrapped pallets with no loose bits of foil hanging off them. This means that these pallets won’t cause problems in automated storage systems. The OEM Ringwrapper also has an option for automatically applying a cover sheet, so the pallets can be made dustproof, or even waterproof, depending on the wrapping program.

Its unique design makes the OEM Ringwrapper very easy to use and maintain and cheap to buy. The optional automatic system for the exchange of film rolls helps avoid unnecessary downtime of the machine. The modular design with as many standard components as possible makes it easy to repair or replace parts. Because the OEM Ringwrapper is a standardised machine that is produced in series, the production costs and therefore also the purchase costs are low in comparison with similar shrink wrappers.

Quick to install, easy to integrate
Qimarox supplies the OEM Ringwrapper exclusively to system integrators and original equipment manufacturers. The machine is delivered fully wired and with sensors, motors and control software, so installation time is kept to a minimum and integration with the rest of the system (such as palletisers, palletiser robots and/or conveyors) is simplified. Of course, the OEM Ringwrapper can also be fully integrated into the Highrunner mk7, the palletiser of Qimarox.

Qimarox takes even heavier pallets to a higher level

New modular pallet lift for pallets up to 2000 kg

With the Prorunner mk10, Qimarox introduces an extremely robust product elevator for pallets of up to 2000 kg. This product lift can transport up to sixty pallets per hour, ten metres upwards. This standardised, modular product lift can be integrated into any end-of-line packaging system or storage system and can furthermore be used in conjunction with the Highrunner mk7, Qimarox’s unique product palletiser.



The Qimarox Prorunner mk10 is based on the design of the successful Prorunner mk9 pallet lift. The most important difference is that the new Prorunner mk10 features four instead of two columns, allowing it to easily transport pallets weighing up to 2000 kg.

The Prorunner mk10 can easily bridge any difference in height between 0.40 and 10 metres. Even at the maximum height difference of 10 metres, the lift can still easily transport sixty pallets per hour with ease. The Prorunner mk10 is equipped with a lifting platform of 1200 x 1200 mm as standard that can be fitted with a pallet track, so that it can handle not only euro pallets, but also product carriers of different sizes such as block pallets.

Combined with a palletiser
The Prorunner mk10 can be used stand alone or in combination with Qimarox’s unique Highrunner mk7 palletiser. With the Highrunner mk7, the supplied products are pushed together into rows or layers that can be deposited on a pallet in one go by a patented pattern-formation slider.

With the Highrunner, the pattern-formation conveyor is located at a height, while the pallet can move up and down thanks to the Prorunner mk10. The top of the pallet will therefore always remain at the same height as the pattern-formation conveyor, resulting in a shorter cycle time and higher capacity. The introduction of this new pallet lift therefore makes it possible to palletise products up to a weight of 2000 kg per pallet.

Infeed and outfeed along four sides
Thanks to its four-column construction, pallets can be fed in and out on four different sides. It is also possible to use a single machine to supply multiple infeed or outfeed levels, so that the lift can also be used for, for example, vertical sorting. Because the lift is constructed out of standard sections, its height can be increased in 250 mm increments. The drive consists of a standard SEW electric motor, which can be attached at floor level or at the level of the intermediate floor, depending on your needs.



Thanks to its fully standardised and modular design, the Prorunner mk10 provides a short payback time and low total cost of ownership. The lift is built exclusively from standard components that are easy to replace. The Prorunner mk10 is constructed using steel instead of aluminium columns, which ensures great stability despite the dynamic forces that occur during operation. Lifting in the Prorunner mk10 is done with steel chains, which are tensioned by a counterweight.

Like the other Qimarox products, the Prorunner mk10 is marketed by machine builders and system integrators. History

A few examples are the Prorunner mk1 product elevator, the Prorunner mk5 vertical conveyor, and the Highrunner mk7 palletiser, a series that will be further extended in the coming years. These components are traditionally very common in production and final packaging lines, especially in the food industry, but also in other sectors. In recent years, product elevators have also increasingly found a ready market in warehouses and distribution centres.
Because of the difference in activities, the Components Division was split off from Nedpack in 2012 and transferred to Qimarox. While Nedpack now only focuses on the design, integration, service, and maintenance of complete end-of-line packaging systems, Qimarox focuses purely on the development and production of key components for original equipment manufacturers and system integrators.

Two branches
Nedpack is headquartered in Harderwijk, centrally located in the Netherlands. Since 2011, Nedpack has also had a branch in the United States. The North American market is served from this branch in Aurora, Illinois.
