Qimarox opens new test and demonstration centre in Harderwijk

Qimarox opens a completely renewed test and demonstration centre in Harderwijk. New or potential customers can experience the opportunities offered by Qimarox for vertical transport and/or palletising of their products first-hand after the opening this autumn. For this purpose, a fully operational palletising and vertical transport and sorting system will be installed in the test and demonstration centre.

Qimarox has always already offered the opportunity to test, but these capabilities are greatly enhanced now the premises at the Nobelstraat in Harderwijk has been converted and expanded. The test and demonstration centre will soon contain a fully operational Prorunner mk9, the successful machine that is not only being used as a vertical transport system, but also as a vertical sorting system across the globe. Furthermore, all manner of systems for the infeed and outfeed of products are available for testing, so companies can test what is the most appropriate configuration using their own products.

Palletising tests

In addition to the Prorunner mk9, starting next autumn, the other product elevators of Qimarox will also be on display. A new, further developed palletising system will also be available for testing the possibilities of palletising and stacking different products according to certain patterns. New and potential customers can see for themselves how accurately their products are positioned on the patented pattern-formation conveyor of this machine and that this machine can handle more stacking patterns than any other palletiser.

Remote testing

Because Qimarox’s components are installed and integrated all over the world, of course not every customer will have the opportunity of travelling to Harderwijk. In that case, the test can be captured on video, so that they can see the result anyway. Another option is to watch via the webcam that has been installed in the test and demonstration centre.

Training and education

The renovation of the property followed after the division of Qimarox and Nedpack late last year. Apart from an extensive test and demonstration centre, Qimarox will soon also be provided with a modern education and training space. Certified system partners will periodically be trained to install and integrate Qimarox components here, while customers can follow training in the use and maintenance of the systems. Qimarox eröffnet neues Vorführ- und Testzentrum in Harderwijk

Qimarox baut in Harderwijk ein völlig neues Vorführ- und Testzentrum. Neue oder potentielle Kunden können dort nach der Eröffnung im kommenden Herbst mit eigenen Augen sehen, welche Möglichkeiten Qimarox für den vertikalen Transport bzw. für die Palettierung  ihrer Produkte bietet. Hierzu werden im Vorführ- und Testzentrum ein komplettes, betriebsbereites Palettiersystem und ein vertikales Transport- und Sortiersystem installiert.

Testmöglichkeiten hat es bei Qimarox immer schon gegeben. diese Möglichkeiten werden sich jedoch in Zukunft mit dem Umbau und der Erweiterung der Räumlichkeiten an der Nobelstraat in Harderwijk erheblich verbessern. Im Vorführ- und Testzentrum wird demnächst ein komplett betriebsbereiter Prorunner mk9 aufgestellt sein. Diese weltweit erfolgreiche Maschine wird nicht nur als vertikales Transportsystem, sondern auch als vertikales Sortiersystem eingesetzt. Palettierungstests

Qimarox verkort levertijd voor Noord-Amerikaanse markt

Binnen een week een verticaal transportsysteem in bedrijf

Vanaf komende zomer kunnen bedrijven in Noord-Amerika binnen een aantal weken beschikken over een Prorunner mk5, het unieke verticaal transportsysteem van Qimarox. De producent van material handling componenten heeft vanwege de snel groeiende belangstelling besloten om de klanten in Noord-Amerika niet langer vanuit Europa, maar vanuit de Verenigde Staten te beleveren. Daardoor wordt de levertijd met enkele weken verkort en dalen de transportkosten.

De Qimarox Prorunner mk5 is een verticaal transportsysteem dat gebruik maakt van het aloude paternosterconcept dat in een modern en duurzaam jasje is gestoken. Dankzij het gepatenteerde ontwerp worden alle producten gedurende de gehele omloop volstrekt horizontaal getransporteerd.

Het belangrijkste onderscheid met andere verticaal transportsysteem is de mogelijkheid om gelijktijdig producten omhoog en omlaag te verplaatsen tussen meerdere niveaus, zodat de Prorunner mk5 ook kan worden ingezet als verticaal sorteersysteem. Veelzijdig, onderhoudsarm en energiezuinig

De Qimarox Prorunner mk5 is geschikt voor producten, bakken, trays, emmers of dozen die minimaal 200 x 200 en maximaal 600 x 600 millimeter meten en die niet meer dan 50 kilogram wegen. In een speciale XL-uitvoering kunnen producten tot 900 x 900 millimeter worden verwerkt. De maximale hoogte van de Prorunner mk5 ligt rond de twintig meter, zodat één verticaal transporteurs tientallen niveaus kan bedienen.

Dankzij een minimaal aantal bewegende delen en een gesloten aandrijving is de Prorunner mk5 erg onderhoudsarm, ook in de toepassing als automatisch orderverzamel- of verdeelsysteem. Doordat het systeem zichzelf in evenwicht houdt, hoeft de motor alleen de last en niet ook de lastdrager voort te stuwen. Daardoor kan met een laag motorvermogen worden gewerkt, wat resulteert in een forse besparing ten opzichte van andere productliften.

Qimarox investiga o recurso a drones para paletização

A Qimarox iniciou uma investigação para analisar as possibilidades de recorrer a drones para a paletização de produtos. Com a ajuda destes robôs voadores, os fabricantes de produtos de consumo podem implementar um processo de paletização extremamente compacto, flexível e escalável. Com este desenvolvimento a Qimarox segue os passos de outras empresas, como a Amazon.com.

A loja online Amazon.com e as empresas de transporte de encomendas UPS e DHL anunciaram que tencionam recorrer a drones no processo de distribuição de encomendas aos consumidores. Estas avionetas não tripuladas visam resolver a problemática dos últimos quilómetros críticos no envio de encomendas de internet aos consumidores. Entretanto no Youtube podem ser vistos vídeos dos primeiros voos de teste de drones que levantam um volume dentro de um centro de distribuição para depois voar em direção às áreas residenciais com a encomenda a bordo.

Flexibilidade e escalabilidade

Após o recurso a drones no âmbito de processos logísticos externos, a sua utilização para processos logísticos internos será o próximo passo. A Qimarox iniciou uma investigação para analisar estas possibilidades. Neste contexto, o fabricante de componentes para sistemas de manuseamento de materiais visa em primeiro lugar a paletização de produtos. Segundo o Diretor de Operações da Qimarox, Jaco Hooijer: «Devido às limitações em termos de capacidade e ergonomia, o recurso a pessoas para empilhar produtos em paletes há muito que deixou de ser opção para a maior parte dos fabricantes de produtos de grande consumo. O recurso a drones permite automatizar por completo o processo de paletização, mantendo a flexibilidade e a escalabilidade que caracteriza o recurso a pessoas.»

Ativar e desativar drones

A paletização com recurso a drones tem a grande vantagem que em qualquer altura o processo pode ser restruturado sem deslocar ou adaptar máquinas. Apenas é necessário alterar as coordenadas no software de controlo dos drones. Outra vantagem é que a capacidade pode ser simplesmente aumentada ou diminuída ao ativar ou desativar drones adicionais. Até é possível servir com um único drone várias linhas de embalagens.

Por enquanto a maior limitação reside no peso que o drone consegue transportar. Neste momento encontram-se em fase de teste drones com capacidade de levantar produtos com um peso de 2,3 kg. Contudo, a tecnologia avança tão rapidamente, que num futuro próximo se prevê o alargamento desta capacidade para pesos até 10,0 kg.

Período de amortização curto

A Qimarox não espera que a paletização com recurso a drones seja a solução ideal para todos os fabricantes de produtos de consumo.
